Welcome to my classroom!

Hello!  My name is Melanie Bell  and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. This will be my 7th year of teaching!  It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures.  I can’t wait to see what the year brings us.  I want to know all about you, but first, let me tell you some things about myself.

 

I was raised in Deer Park and I am a proud Deer Park Graduate.  I graduated in 2010 from Deer Park High School. I then attended Baylor University (Sic’ Em Bears!) where I received my degree in Elementary Education.  My parents and teachers have been big influences for me throughout my school years and my teaching career. If it weren’t for their guidance, advice, support and love, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I love spending time with my friends, exploring the outdoors, and reading a new book!

 

I love to travel. One of my favorite things to do is visit historic places. I enjoy learning about the past and knowing all the little facts and details about places. The thing about History is every place has a story. This year I can’t wait to get to know your story!

 

I began my teaching career 6 years ago in 2014 at Connally Elementary in Waco, Texas. This will be my first year at Rummel Creek Elementary,  4th grade was one of my favorite years in elementary school and I’m excited to work with a great group of Fourth grade teachers.  I am very excited about our upcoming year and can’t wait to learn all about each of you this year!
