My name is Kathryn Hancock. I grew up in the small town of El Campo, TX, until I was 14. I then moved to Houston, where I attended Memorial High School! I graduated from The University of Texas in 2016. I spent my first two years of teaching at Memorial Drive Elementary before I joined the RCE family! This is my third year at RCE and fifth year teaching. I have previously taught 3rd and 4th grade.

 

I live with two friends in the Rice Military area. I love traveling, reading, (longhorn) football, (Rockets) basketball, and trying new restaurants.

While I was in elementary school, I never felt like a “math person.” That completely changed in college after having the best math professor. I absolutely love teaching math, helping kids fall in love with it, and love learning the way I did. I can’t wait to have another great year here at RCE!
